The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking professional to join our team as the Head of Primary's Assistant. This role is crucial in supporting the implementation of our Finnish-inspired educational approach and contributing to the overall success of our school.

Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Assist the Head of Primary in daily administrative tasks, including managing schedules, appointments, and meetings
- Prepare and manage documents, reports, and presentations for meetings and school events
- Maintain confidential records, including student data, staff performance reports, and school policies
Event Planning and Coordination
- Help organize and manage school events, workshops, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions
- Assist in the preparation of school assemblies, Primary section meetings, and other key activities
Communication and Liaison
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the Primary school office and teachers, staff, and parents
- Relay important information to the Primary section, ensuring clear communication across teams
- Assist with inquiries and requests from parents and staff, ensuring timely responses
Operational Support
- Assist in managing day-to-day school operations, including monitoring staff attendance, tracking student progress, and ensuring resource availability
- Support the coordination of teaching schedules, class coverages, and extracurricular activities
Policy and Compliance
- Assist in implementing school policies and procedures to maintain compliance with local and international educational standards
- Monitor adherence to health, safety, and safeguarding policies within the Primary section
Project Management
- Support the Head of Primary in developing and implementing educational initiatives to improve teaching quality and student learning outcomes
- Track project progress, deadlines, and report findings to the Head of Primary
Student and Staff Support
- Assist with student behavior management and support programs
- Provide administrative support for teacher evaluations, performance reviews, and staff development programs

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in an international educational setting
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and willingness to learn school-specific management software
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Cultural sensitivity and experience working in diverse, international environments
- Knowledge of international education systems and best practices is an advantage
- Familiarity with or interest in Finnish educational practices
- Must be available to start immediately, ensuring a seamless transition and minimal disruption to our team and students

- Work Hours: Full-time position, Monday to Friday
