The founders of Wild Cottages partnered with the creators of Samui Elephant Haven Sanctuary and decided two years ago to create a resort with an onsite elephant sanctuary as a safe home for a herd of rescued elephants. This alliance gave birth to the Wild Cottages Sanctuary Resort. Now the rescued elephants are free to roam the area, using their natural instincts to interact with humans, forage for food and bathe in any of the many pools across the 25-rai sanctuary.
