Qualifications:
- At least 2 years in a travel agent role, selling to and dealing with customers face to face
- Proficient with data entry and Microsoft Suite
- Experience processing payment information and working with confidential information
Main Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of the role is to support the roll out of Gojo Travel into Lub d Koh Samui. Before the desk is live and bookings are available to the public, the purpose of this role is to meet with suppliers and negotiate (with the help of the brand office team) net rates and onboard those products into the system. Other duties will include setting up the look and feel of the travel desk, ordering brochures, and displaying marketing material. Once the desk is operational the main purpose of this role is to sell tours and activities to inhouse guests.
- Host daily welcome sessions for new check-ins. This will include briefing them on the hostels events, happy hour and latest travel deals
- Greeting each new check in and finding out about their travel plans
- Communicating product details clearly to guests
- Booking tours and transport for guests
- Actively looking for sales opportunities by speaking to guests
- Hosting weekly trips
- Managing payments
- Establishing a fun but professional relationship with guests
- Ordering new brochures
- Communicating with suppliers
- Ordering stationary and keeping the travel desk clean and tidy
- Managing in house promotional material
