Position : Chief Accountant
Job Detail
Lead Financial Operations:
- Oversee accounting team, ensuring accuracy and completeness of general ledger according to accounting standards.
- Craft annual operating budgets and forecasts, guiding financial performance.
- Prepare financial statements with detailed account reconciliation for a clear financial picture.
Drive insightful analysis:
- Conduct financial analyses, creating reports that inform management decisions on budgets, cost control, and profitability improvement.
- Deepen understanding of regulatory requirements, tax laws, and internal policies, ensuring compliance.
- Monitor cash flow and forecast processes to optimize liquidity and working capital management.
Collaborate strategically:
- Partner with department heads to offer financial insights and support informed decision-making.
- Coordinate and facilitate the annual audit process seamlessly, liaising with external auditors and providing necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a hotel accounting role, demonstrating deep understanding of GAAP and hotel accounting principles
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and potentially managing a team.
- Excellent analytical skills, detail-oriented and highly organized to navigate complex financial situations.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration across departments.
- Ability to translate financial data into clear and actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with hotel management systems is a plus.
- Integrity, ethics, and unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of financial management.
