Position : Chef De Partie / Sous Chef
• Menu Development: Design and develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends, meet customer preferences, and align with the restaurant’s concept and goals.
• Food Preparation: Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
• Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and kitchen assistants. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing support and development opportunities.
• Kitchen Management: Manage daily kitchen operations, including organizing workstations, scheduling staff, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
• Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs to ensure efficient kitchen operations while minimizing waste.
• Budget Management: Work within the kitchen budget to control costs, manage labor, and optimize profitability without compromising on quality.
• Quality Control: Ensure consistent food quality by conducting regular taste tests and inspections. Address any issues promptly to maintain high standards.
• Health & Safety: Enforce strict hygiene and safety protocols in compliance with local health regulations. Ensure all kitchen staff are trained in proper food handling and safety procedures.
• Collaboration: Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and address any special dietary requirements or guest requests.
• Innovation: Continuously seek opportunities to improve and innovate in the kitchen, staying updated on industry trends and incorporating new techniques and ingredients.
Qualifications:
• Education: Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of professional cooking experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role such as Sous Chef or Head Chef.
• Skills: Strong culinary skills, including expertise in various cooking techniques and cuisines. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities. Proficiency in kitchen management software and Microsoft Office.
• Attributes: Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about food. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and make quick, effective decisions.
