1. Customer Service:
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout a guest's stay.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with a positive attitude.
- Assist guests with check-in and check-out processes.
2. Reservation and Registration:
- Take and confirm reservations, either in person, over the phone, or via email.
3. Communication:
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly.
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Reply to messages and information to guests and other hotel departments.
4. Cash Handling:
- Handle cash, and credit card transactions, and maintain accurate records.
- Process payments and issue receipts.
5. Administrative Tasks:
- Perform administrative duties, such as filing, data entry, and record-keeping.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the front desk area.
6. Collaboration with Other Departments:
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Respond to guest requests and needs to the appropriate departments.
7. Problem Solving:
- Address and resolve issues or complaints from guests.
- Anticipate potential problems and take proactive measures to prevent them.
8. Up-selling and Promotion:
- Promote additional services, amenities, and special offers to guests.
- Encourage guests to participate in the in-house activities.
9. Knowledge of Policies and Procedures:
- Stay informed about hotel policies, procedures, and amenities.
o Ensure compliance with security and safety regulations.
10. Multitasking:
o Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, especially during peak check-in/check-out times.
11. Technology Skills:
o Proficient use of computer systems, reservation software, and other relevant technology.
