Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Concept Development:
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to establish design objectives, scope, and budget constraints.
- Lead design charrettes and brainstorming sessions to generate innovative design concepts.
- Develop preliminary sketches, renderings, and conceptual drawings to communicate design intent.

2. Design Coordination and Integration:
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure that design elements are integrated seamlessly into the overall project.
- Review and evaluate design proposals to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and project specifications.
- Resolve design conflicts and discrepancies through proactive communication and problem-solving.

3. Design Development and Documentation:
- Oversee the development of detailed construction drawings, specifications, and documentation packages.
- Conduct thorough reviews of design documents to identify potential errors, omissions, or constructability issues.
- Work closely with the project team to address design revisions, value engineering opportunities, and change orders.

4. Quality Assurance and Control:
- Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to maintain design integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site inspections and field reviews to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design standards.
- Implement corrective actions as needed to address design deficiencies or non-conformance issues.

5. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to members of the design team, including architects, drafters, and interns.
- Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to facilitate interdisciplinary coordination and alignment of project goals.

6. Client Relations and Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding design-related matters, project updates, and deliverables.
- Present design proposals, progress reports, and presentations to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Address client feedback, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner to ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience (10 years) in a design management role within the construction and development industry.
- Strong technical proficiency in design software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and allocate resources effectively.
- Thorough understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction industry standards.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve project objectives.
- Attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality design solutions.
- Professional licensure or certification (e.g., Registered Architect, Professional Engineer) preferred but not required.
