JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title and Summary: The Veterinary Nurse will assist the Veterinarian in all treatment and medical dealings with dogs, including handling, administering vaccinations, providing treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Performs physical examinations including temperature, weight, pulse, and respiratory rate
• Performs medicine injection (Subcutaneous, intramuscular, Intravenous) and blood drawing
• Performs wound dressing and bandaging
• Calculates medicine dosages
• Prepares animals for surgery and assist the veterinarian during surgery when necessary
• Performs anesthesia and monitor animals during surgery and recovery of all surgical patients
• Prescribes medicine following instructions from a veterinarian
• Assist with radiographs and ultrasounds
• Maintains and uses medical equipment such as IDEXX Procyte, Doppler pressure
• Check and fill medicines in each room (treatment room, Post op, ICU)
• Check vaccination and deworm in every single day
• Check microchip, medicine and photo card before move animal patients to shelter and send back to dog catcher also
• Update list of animal patients on the board as same as location in ASM system.
• Performs and assist with record keeping in sterilization unit and mobile unit
• Cleaning and sterilized the equipment with autoclave machine
• Performs in physiotherapy
• Performs under the veterinarian control
• As part of the Soi Dog team, is available to help as needed, even with tasks that are outside of the job description

Skills and Qualifications:
- Veterinary Nurse degree will be advantage.
- This person should enjoy working with animals.
- Be able to lift 20kg
- Work in a fast paced environment.
Location: Mai Khao, Phuket
Type of Employment: Full-time
