Position : Financial Controller (Banyan Tree Resort & Spa)
Job Detail
Financial Management and Reporting:
1. Oversee daily financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Thai accounting standards and company policies.
3. Prepare quarterly and annual reporting to Singapore Head Office for consolidation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and company policies.
4. Conduct financial analysis and present actionable insights to senior management.
5. Manage cash flow, accounts payable, and receivable to ensure efficient operations.
6. Perform additional duties and special projects as required to support the finance department and overall business objectives.
Compliance and Auditing:
1. Ensure full compliance with local tax regulations, reporting requirements, and statutory filings.
2. Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities to facilitate audits and ensure compliance.
3. Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
4. Identify and address any weaknesses in internal controls, implementing corrective measures to mitigate risks and safeguard company assets.
Financial Strategy and Planning:
1. Support business growth by providing financial projections, analysis, and recommendations.
2. Contribute to strategic decision-making by analyzing financial performance and identifying areas for improvement.
3. Collaborate with the executive team on long-term financial planning.
Budget Preparation and Monitoring:
1. Lead the preparation of the annual budget, coordinating with various departments to ensure alignment with company objectives.
2. Continuously monitor actual performance against budget, identifying variances and providing recommendations to optimize budget utilization.
3. Work closely with department heads to develop accurate financial projections and adjust forecasts as needed.
Team Leadership:
1. Lead and mentor the finance team of 14 team members, fostering a culture of accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement.
2. Provide training and support to team members to ensure development and compliance with company policies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
2. Prior experience in a Financial Controller or similar role, with proven success in overseeing financial operations.
3. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Business Central or similar ERP systems).
4. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to use advanced functions for analysis.
5. Familiarity with Thai financial regulations and tax codes.
6. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication skills in both Thai and English.
8. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
9. Strong leadership skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team collaboration.
